After a few states like Rajasthan, Punjab, Chattisgarh, Odisha have declared lockdown in their states amid the outbreak of Coronavirus, the central government has identified and advised states to lockdown 75 districts where the cases of Covid-19 has been reported.
A high-level meeting was held on today morning with Chief Secretaries of all states by the Cabinet Secretary and the Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
After the meeting, it was advised to lockdown 75 districts. These districts have either reported confirmed cases or casualties relating to Covid-19. In these districts, only essential services will be allowed.
